°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ University announces its capital campaign, “The Campaign for °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ University: Learning for Life, Transforming the World”

MECHANICSBURG, Pennsylvania (Sept. 16, 2021) – °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ University today announced the public phase of its capital campaign, . The $75 million campaign supports °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ’s vision to educate students for a lifetime of learning opportunities, including engaging its students and alumni beyond the undergraduate and graduate programs to include certificates and enhanced learning courses.

This campaign encompasses several broad areas that support the University’s efforts to fulfill its vision, including: The °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Fund and Scholarship Aid, Scholarship and Program Endowments, New Facilities, and Estate Planning Gifts.

°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ University, formerly °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ College until it changed its name on July 1, 2020, is ushering in a new era, while remaining faithful to the mission it has always held. “We view this campaign as a catalyst from °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ College to °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ University—which has become more of a comprehensive institution of higher education,” said Jon Stuckey, associate vice president for development. “President Kim Phipps has outlined a vision where °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ no longer offers only traditional undergraduate degrees, but also graduate programs (including doctoral programs), programs for adult learners, degree completion, certifications and continuing education.”

“We know we are fulfilling our institutional mission by the outcomes we are able to document of our alumni as Christ-centered servant leaders across the globe,” said President Kim Phipps. “Alumni are the proof of the true value of a °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ education.”

Slated to be completed in December 2022, the campaign has already reached several milestone accomplishments, including the construction of the Ralph S. Larsen Finance Lab, Martin Dining Commons, the Falcon Fitness Center, Sawyer Gymnasium, Jordan Court in Hitchcock Arena, a new lacrosse field, the resurfacing of Anderson Field, and, most recently, the Kim S. Phipps Admissions and Welcome Center. The University has also significantly increased scholarship endowment and direct aid resources for its students. In total, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ has received $70 million toward its $75 million goal.
